FOOTBALL SEASON WEEK #1

On September 13 the PAL Mustangs opened their season playing Hackensack at Hackensack Highschool.

The Junior Pee Wee's dominated on the offensive side of the ball controlling the ball most of the day, however due to a grind it out offense and some penalties the Mini's of the grid iron were only able to post a 7 - 0 victory over Hackensack.  The touchdown was scored by number 32 Channing Blaise Russell while the extra point was punched in by Michael Giovine.  Defensively, Myles and Jalen Douglin played a strong game while Sebastian Rawls and Noah Tandy dominated the line both offensively and defensively.

The Pee Wee squad put up 2 touchdowns to capture a victory over a tough Hackensack squad.  Frank Deangilis is continuing the success he had at the JPW level by dominating the run game.

Junior Varsity lost a tough battle but had some key highlights in the play of Jules Puryear and Eric Oden.  Coaches Frank and Ian Noberine were overheard stating how proud they were that their team never quit.  They showed heart when it counted and that gave the opportunities in the 2nd half.  They are looking foward to a good season.

The Mustang Varsity lost to a solid Hackensack team however Ron Charles showed much improvement over last year and that mixed with the play of receiver Jason Denson Gardner can prove to be a deadly combination to opponents.
